Archie

Archie and his best friend, Ironman, survived a horrific transportation accident in St. Louis in August 2021. 700 piglets were onboard the truck when it violently overturned in the middle of the night. Archie was badly hurt during the crash, which left him with a fractured ulna and metacarpal bone. After his rescue, we rushed Archie to UW for emergency care, since he had a fever and couldn't bear weight on his wounded leg. After a few weeks at UW, Archie made a full recovery and enjoyed many months with his best friend before additional health complications arose. We miss Archie terribly but are glad for the memories that we have of him, which especially flood our thoughts each time that we see Ironman living out his peaceful existence at the sanctuary.
