Garden for Good

With the Garden for Good, we try and grow as much food for our rescued animal residents in a sustainable way as possible. Additionally, we hope to educate our community on how to grow and eat food that is sustainable. Any extra food we grow will always be donated to food pantries in an effort to give back to the communities that have given us so much!

Volunteer

As you may know, tending to a garden of this size can be time consuming, so we need as much help with this project as we can get. If you would like to volunteer in our Garden for good, please send an email to iowafarmsanctuary.volunteer@gmail.com.

Little compassionate library

Our Little Compassionate sits next to Phoenix's memorial bench. It is the perfect spot for our visitors to sit and enjoy a book while overlooking our residents grazing in the front pasture. Visitors can now borrow and leave books that pertain to a compassionate and sustainable future.

PHoenix's memorial bench

This bench is in honor of a calf that was born with only three functioning legs. Though the team at the ISU Large Animal Hospital tried their hardest, he succumbed to infections in his functioning legs. Read more about Phoenix's story and some heartfelt words from our founder, Shawn Camp.
