Marley

Marley was rescued with his best gal pal, Monkey, and they were our very first rescues! They came to us on the 4th of July when they were just one month old. They had been sentenced to death for being the runts of their litters and were saved by a heroic employee who refused to kill them. Marley was so small when he was born that they didn't bother to mutilate him the way his siblings were (neutering and tail docking with no pain relief). Despite being a runt, Marley grew rapidly due to specific breeding and genetic manipulation. As young as two years old, we noticed Marley began having issues with arthritis in his joints. Arthritis is a disease from which up to 80% of pigs raised for food suffer. Despite these issues, Marley loved his time at IFS, and we miss him terribly.
