Nicole
Nicole and her "sister" Paris were discovered wandering loose on the streets of Chicago. Fortunately, a compassionate Samaritan found them and took them in, and they soon became beloved pet house chickens under his care. Despite his deep affection for Nicole and Paris, he realized he could not provide the environment they needed to thrive fully.
As a longtime supporter of our sanctuary, he reached out to us for assistance, hoping to offer them a better life. We were honored to welcome Nicole and Paris into our flock, eager to give them the care and freedom they deserved. Nicole quickly integrated into her new surroundings, forming friendships with other chickens and humans alike.
Nicole's days at the sanctuary were filled with the joys of natural chicken activities. Her affectionate demeanor made her a favorite among the staff and visitors, as she often nestled comfortably in their laps or eagerly followed them around the sanctuary grounds.
Sadly, Nicole has passed away, but her memory remains a vibrant part of our sanctuary.
