Sabrina

Beautiful baby Sabrina was born in the beef industry, but due to her cleft lip, she received extra special care. Concern that Sabrina also had a cleft palate ultimately led to her rescue, and we rushed to pick her up from the farm. Cleft palates present a serious risk for aspiration-related illnesses, like pneumonia, so we knew she needed medical care right away. We were so relieved to learn that Sabrina did not have a cleft palate, but relief quickly turned to devastation when tests revealed that she was fighting a serious mystery illness. After several scary days, precious little Sabrina ended up making an incredible recovery! 

Prior to her rescue, Sabrina had lived the first few weeks of her life in a tiny stall. While she was very shy and unsure about humans and her new surroundings at first, Sabrina was so ready to be loved. It didn’t take long for our little sweetheart to start running carefree through her big, lush pasture and recognizing her caregivers as friends. Sabrina’s happy little spirit filled everyone around her with joy, and nothing was more magical than watching her explore the world around her. With us, Sabrina’s world was full of promise and beauty, and she never knew anything but love and kindness.
