Sundance AKA Sunny was facing slaughter because of a bad leg, until a compassionate supporter negotiated his surrender. The farmers were delighted that IFS exists, and that we could help him! We learned that the problem with Sunny's leg was due to an infection, and after careful consideration, the incredible team at the Iowa State University Large Animal Hospital amputated Sunny's septic leg. Today, Sunny moves around with ease. He keeps up with the rest of our goat residents perfectly! Often, guests note that they didn't even realize he only has three legs until someone pointed it out!
